Apple AirPods 2: All you need to Know

It's been known for months now that Apple's AirPods need an
upgrade. We appear to have hit that time when everyone starts looking forward
to the first Apple event of the year. There are rumors that Airpods 2 are
imminent to launch before the Apple Event. The second-gen AirPods will come
with a collection of new health-tracking features and Bluetooth 5.0
compatibility. the looks and feel of the product will however be the same but according to some reports, it will have a rubber cover to have a better grip in the ear.
A Greek iPhone rumor site, iPhonehellas.gr,
cites sources in the supply chain to suggest that the new second-generation
AirPods, the AirPower wireless charging mat and the new entry-level iPad will
be available next month, Friday March 29th. On Monday, however, not only did
MySmartPrice give News18 what are reportedly some new details about the earbuds
but also an update about the evasive AirPower Wireless Charging Pad. If so,
then this confirms that the new AirPods will support the new Bluetooth 5.0 Low
Energy standard.
Along with the latest Bluetooth technology, these AirPods
are likely to have some more sensors and according to rumors, these would be the
health trackers and heart rate monitors. Also there will be room for
improvement in Bass in terms of sound. These earphones will now be available in
2 colours: Black and White.
Battery life is reported to be similar to the current
AirPods, though it will come in two colour options - Black and White. Moreover
the AirPods 2 may be priced at $199 (around Rs. 14,200) as compared to the $159
price of the original AirPods. This is a $40 rise than the earlier version of it.
